Dear Cambrian Families

Press Start, the musical, will transport you back into the 1990s world of video games.  Get ready to meet some heroes, sidekicks and villains that are vaguely familiar.  However, they are all out of lives and out of play.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show as these characters put on a musical fundraiser to earn 5000 gold rings to get themselves back in play.  

The songs are sounding fabulous, choreography is taking shape, and rehearsals are well under way.  It's fun to hear the students sing and hum the music as they walk down the hallways or are out on the playground.  

We look forward to presenting Press Start to our Cambrian Families on Wednesday, Dec. 19^th at 6:30 PM.

Christmas in the Music Room!

The new instruments we have ordered for the music room have arrived!  It felt like Christmas, opening all the boxes.  Thank you fundraising committee for supporting our music program!  I think everyone's favourite instrument, including all the teachers who came to check out the new instruments, is the thunder drum.

Practice for the musical is in full swing!  Students are learning the songs quickly and we are beginning to add in some movement with them as well.  Rehearsals at lunch  for the grade 5/6 students will begin on Monday, November 12th.  We will meet in the gym and begin blocking our scenes.
